A
Brief History |
|
Bernies Roadshow is a medium sized mobile discotheque situated north west of
Bournemouth, Dorset. The business
travels over a large area of the south coast in the United Kingdom.
The company started life some 35 + years ago as a hobby, this lead to bigger and better
things. Bernies Roadshow started
out by playing music in working men's clubs and then pubs as well as
youth clubs and this progressed on to night
clubs, that allowed me to work with some of the foremost names in the pop
music business of the 70s. |

International This in turn lead to several tours of
Scandinavia and other parts of Europe. |

When I returned from the touring
bit. I formed Bernies Roadshow
with a little help from
family and friends. Over the last 35 + yrs I have gained such a wealth of experience of playing such places
as: Youth clubs, Holiday camps, Pubs, Clubs, and of course a plethora of Weddings, Engagements,
21st, Corporate Events, Birthday Parties all ages, Etc. |

 The aim of
Bernies Roadshow Mobile Discotheque is to make each performance / function as
personal and as memorable as we can. The show is based on playing as many requests as we
can..
This aim has lead to Bernies
Roadshow having a very extensive
music library covering the 50s & 60s,70s,80s,90s, 00, etc, including Rock 'n'
Roll. We can play 70s & 80s theme nights, Motown, 70s soul, 70s Heavy Rock,
Northern soul, general Theme Nights Etc. |

 I could go on for a long time about the music policy, I hope this gives you some idea
of how extensive our music library is.
And YES we do still play
vinyl where necessary, because a lot of older music is only
available on vinyl. More recently the MP3 technologies have come a long,
these' I must admit! are more convenient for our business.

 Store Openings & in

| Just recently
Bernies
Roadshow has been involved in several shop openings and in store
promotions. This seems to be a fairly new and profitable idea for some types of
store, we have been involved with the opening of shops for the
Past Time
organisation you can fine them at
Past Times they have
over a 100 stores nationally. Bernies Roadshow
was also involved in the in store promotion for
BHS (British Home Stores) in
Bournemouth. |

We do get quite well booked
so to be sure of the date you want you need to book
early. On the Inquiry
form we will need a little information
about the place, date,
times and your name etc and how you would like us to
contact you e.g. phone number, E-mail address,
and a little information about the type of function, so we can

Sound System
|
| |
 The sound system is
custom built, studio quality sound, this makes it very versatile,
allowing us to vary the Power output from something like a small lounge / front room, to Medium
and large halls. Above we can and will turn it down if you think its
to loud!1............ we also turn it up..!
NOTE: The look and size of
each show will vary depending on the size of the venue and the equipment we have
available.

The new MP3 technologies |
|
With the advent of the
NEW
MP3 technologies, this allows us to be
able to take the Mobile DJ or discotheque to a new level. In fact to almost anywhere
level you can think of, It's puts a new meaning on the word Mobile
Discotheque. |

International gigs |
|
Bernies Roadshow
can now travel to other place and other lands and just plug in. We are happy to
travel and gig with you as a guest at your venue, we come with music and
microphones, the only thing you have provide is suitable plug in points. We don't
need to take
all the big heavy gear any more just the music storage and microphones. So a guest spot on a show
in another place or another land is no problem..!! The true mobile Discotheque or
Mobile DJ.
